ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: In this program, you will be assisting those who are blind and visually impaired through cooking classes, peer support groups, and arts n craft activities. Some skills expected for this opportunity are advocacy, patience, and communication. You will be trained on how to properly help a blind individual, but the perseverance and determination to help these individuals must come from someone who is willing to learn. CRIL hopes to see you amongst its appreciated volunteers!

Internship opportunity

5-15 hours per week (weekends included)
Volunteer Drivers Needed -WAV Program
CRIL is actively looking for volunteer drivers who are willing to take on at least 1 - 2 rides a month. This is a great opportunity for those looking to expand their resume and gain experience under their belt. All trips from beginning to end last no more than 2 hours. At the end of each trip, you will be asked to provide the team with the time and miles of your trip as you will be reimbursed. For more information contact CRIL at (510) 881-5743.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: In this program you will need the following…
Compassion, friendliness, tact, good communication skills, emotional stability, and reliability.
Ability to take on at least 1-2 rides a month.
Willingness to accept direction from the staff and follow procedures.
Ability to work respectfully with a wide range of cultures and personalities.
Valid driver’s license
Current auto insurance, (bodily injury and property damage).
Easily accessible vehicle (no raised truck or low sports car)
Safe driving record; suspensions - 2yrs, major or moving violations - 3yrs
No health problems constituting a hazard to safe driving
