Peer Support

Our Services

CRIL sponsors peer support groups for both consumers and for care providers.

While Independent Living Coordinators facilitate these support groups, our consumers listen to one another, share insights and information based on personal experiences and that help each other set and realize realistic goals for themselves.

“When and where do these groups meet?”

CRIL's Spanish-speaking Peer Support Group meets weekly on Tuesdays, from 10AM to 12Noon, at CRIL's Hayward location at 439 A Street. Our English-speaking Peer Support Group meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays from 2:30PM to 4PM at CRIL's Livermore branch location at 3311 Pacific Avenue.

“How do I join one of these groups?”

The easiest way is to contact any CRIL staff person who will connect you with one of the support group facilitators. You may also simply attend a support group meeting.

“Will my personal information be shared?”

CRIL's support groups respect the privacy of participants. Personal information is not shared outside of the group meeting.

“Are there other peer support activities?”

Through participation in any number of CRIL's programs and activities, you will be afforded the opportunity to meet and connect with many persons with disabilities.
